The Chronicles of Narnia (Part Four) – Prince Caspian

Still on the Chronicles of Narnia…

One year (In our own world, precisely England) after they came back from Narnia (even though in Narnia time moves so fast that in our own one minute, Narnia has probably ten years! ), the  children – Edmund, Peter, Susan and Lucy – were going back to school and they were bothered by the challenges of school. Suddenly, a magical force pulled them out of the Railway station (where they are waiting for the train) to an unknown island. As the children explore the island in order to find something to eat, they found out that the beautiful land of Narnia where they were once Kings and Queens is no more…
It now looks like an ancient world… The beautiful palace now deserted completely for what looks like several hundreds of years. While they were wondering what happened to their land (of course they were once rulers in that country – once a king, always a king) and the people (or let me say the creatures), something happened – they found an ancient treasure… and new adventure began when Susan saved the life of a dwarf…

According to Lewis “Narnian time flows differently from ours. If you spent a hundred years in Narnia, you would still come back to our world at the very same hour of the very same day on which you left. And then, if you went back to Narnia after spending a week here, you might find that a thousand Narnian years had passed, or only a day, or no time at all. You never know till you get there”. And from the sound of this, it seems the story is much more than imagination. As the author uses first person narration throughout the whole story.

Meanwhile, in another part of Narnia, the life of a prince is in danger… As the young prince ran for his life, he discovered something he always hears happened only in history (and which, has been fabricated over a long period of time).

War looms when King Miraz (Who conquered the Narnians and destroyed all the talking animals and trees) found out that the little prince has discovered (or found) the long lost ancient treasure – the old world Narnia. And he (King Miraz) would stop at nothing until he destroys the little prince…

Like the first three parts of this story, the part four (The Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian) is also fascinating and incredible. It shows lust, selfishness, and tyranny… In addition, it depicts how the past may have impact on the present and how the future may be affected by the present.

You will enjoy every line of the story – word-for-word, line-for-line!
